The Northumberland Fair is Fair Trade Group registered as a not-for-profit in 2008 with the goal of opening a Ten Thousand Villages fair trade store in Northumberland County. After partnering with Ten Thousand Villages Canada, it has successfully operated a fair trade store in downtown Cobourg, ON since 2009. With the closure of Ten Thousand Villages Canada in 2020, the Cobourg store continues as an independent not-for-profit under the auspices of Ten Thousand Villages USA. As such, it is the last Ten Thousand Villages store in Eastern Canada.

In addition to oversight of the store, the organization also oversees the Rodger Henderson Memorial Scholarship for local high school students.
